The Microtek ScanMaker 9600XL scanner provides tabloid-size scanning and fulfills its promise of sharp, consistent color images for professionals, artists, corporate users, and graphic designers. The 9600XL can accommodate A3- or B-size originals, scan images up to 12 by 17 inches at an optical resolution of 600 x 1,200 dpi (9,600 dpi interpolated), or hastily dispatch batch scans. This dual-platform edition includes a PCI SCSI card congruous with Windows PC and Power Macintosh G3 systems.
The extra-large scan bed is more than practical for production scanning, supporting up to 10 3.5-by-5-inch photos on the bed at one time. The ScanWizard Pro programmer software features a sophisticated color matching system and provides easy switching between views of multiple prescans. You can also calibrate color to create a customized profile for consistency and color quality in slides, transparencies, negatives, or x-ray film.
We recommend that you thoroughly review the two detailed and well-structured user manuals before installation. Microtek conveniently provides separate booklets for Mac or PC users. You’ll also want to take advantage of the huge array of tools provided with the 9600XL.
